A Christmas Tree Kind of Life
Years and rings, cut down, cut through;
No future together, only memories of you.
No longer planted in yesterday’s soil;
Yet, firmly she still stands without toil.
Branches once heavily laden with snow,
Now decorated with an electrified glow.
Friends and family–a garland of love,
A single twinkling star hangs above.
Though evergreen she will be nevermore;
Cut down, decorated, she is Noël Evermore.
